Welcome and thank you for visiting Dave’s Towing Service. We have been providing superior towing and recovery service in Southern California since 1975. We are very proud of our staff. They are more than employees, they are family. Before they join our team, they must pass a rigorous back ground check and screening process, then they receive some of the best training available and receive certification from the California Tow Truck Association.
Kevin and Janice, the owners of Dave’s Towing Service are very proud of all our employees, especially how long they have been with the company.
Our employees successfully complete an in depth pre-employment character interview, background investigation and drug and alcohol testing. They also participate in random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. We also participate in the CHP’s live-scan and DOJ background investigation program. We do all this to ensure the high quality of personnel that will be servicing our customers.
We start with the best people available then train them to be the best at their jobs.
Bill worked for us several years ago before moving out of state. When he moved back in 2006 we were able to get him back on our team. Bill is assigned to a flatbed tow truck and he also works in the front office dispatching calls as well as vehicle data entry and releases vehicles from our storage facility. Bill excels in customer service and loading & unloading specialty vehicles. Bill holds certifications from the California Tow Truck Association and Wreckmaster.
Tony came to us in 2008 with a background in the produce industry, primarily as a driver delivering to stores and restaurants. Tony is assigned to a flatbed tow truck. He has also quickly learned the basics of heavy duty towing and recovery and is learning more advanced skills in this area also. Tony holds certification from the California Tow Truck Association.
Colette has been with us since 2002. Her position as manager keeps her busy with various duties including taking and dispatching calls for service along with releasing vehicles from our storage facility. Colette also works in our accounting department where she performs data entry tasks and processes our lien sale and auction paperwork.
Shane wears several hats here at Dave’s. Having come to us in 2000 with a mechanical background experienced in both automotive and heavy truck repairs, it was a natural occurrence for him to oversee our truck maintenance and repairs. When he is not doing this, he tows cars, medium and heavy duty trucks and motorhomes. He also drives our largest tow truck recovering and towing big rigs, cement mixers and even trash trucks. Shane holds certifications from the California Tow Truck Association, Wes Wilburn Consulting, Wreckmaster and The Crosby Group a leading manufacturer of rigging equipment.
Mark joined us in January of 2006 bringing with him several years of light duty towing and road service experience, most of it servicing the members of a variety of motor clubs. Mark also possesses outstanding skills when it comes to metal fabrication which comes in very handy around the shop. Since he joined us, Mark has gained valuable recovery skills that he puts into play on a regular basis. Mark holds certification from the Automobile Association of America and the California Tow Truck Association.
Don is our senior driver having been with the company since April of 1999. Don specializes in flatbed towing and transportation with our traveling axles tilt bed semi-trailer and a flatbed tow truck. He also has many years of experience towing and recovering heavy duty vehicles such as tractor trailer rigs and trash trucks. Recently Don has begun cross training with the front office staff learning about taking and dispatching calls for service as well as vehicle data entry and release procedures. Don holds multiple certifications from the California Tow Truck Association.
